Service FAQs
How Frequently Should I Bring My Car in for
Maintenance?
The answer to this question varies a little from
model to model, but a good catch-all rule is every 10,000 miles or once a year,
whichever comes first. Check your owner's manual or give us a call to determine
the exact intervals your Mercedes-Benz should go in for regular
maintenance.
When Should I Rotate My Tires?
You should rotate your tires around every 6,000
miles driven. This helps ensure that wear is being distributed evenly among
your four tires. This helps your set of tires last longer and perform better,
so don't put off tire rotations near Meridian. Tire rotations are a quick
procedure, so just schedule ahead of time and we can make the whole process
quick and painless.
What Does the Check Engine Light Mean?
Your check engine light could indicate a variety of
different issues from a loose fuel cap to an issue with the catalytic
convertor. It can be almost impossible to pin down the culprit causing the
light on your own, but we have special tools that quickly let us diagnose the
issue. If your engine light comes on, don't hesitate to bring your vehicle in,
as often engine issues can snowball into costly fixes when not
addressed.
How Do I Schedule an Appointment?
To schedule an appointment at our Service Center,
you can give us a call at 205-556-1111 or use our Online Scheduling Tool
to make an appointment at your convenience from the comfort of your own
home.
How Long Will My Repairs Take?
Unless you're just getting regular maintenance, we
unfortunately cannot guarantee a timeframe until we've actually gotten into the
work. Often the scope of auto issues don't come into focus until the vehicle is
already being looked at. We can, however, keep you updated as soon as we find
the cause of an issue and provide a revised timetable as we figure it
out.
Parts FAQs
What Are OEM Auto Parts?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer,
which means an OEM part is an automotive part originating from the car's
manufacturer. In our case this means an authentic Mercedes-Benz part, otherwise
known as the only kind of part we use in our service and repairs.
Why Use Authentic Auto Parts?
Using authentic auto parts is very important to
ensure your vehicle is operating at its full potential. Using aftermarket parts
often just results in lowered performance and may sometimes even exasperate the
problem. Be sure to get repairs only with authentic Mercedes-Benz parts at our
Tuscaloosa Service Center.
Can I Order a Specific Part?
You can order parts online from our
Parts Center, making your next personal project easier than ever. Don't scour
buy/sell pages looking for a part when you can get it brand-new from our
dealership.
